CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The Valley City Fire Department and the American Red Cross will help install smoke detectors in a few Valley City homes in a nationwide effort to cut back the risk of house fires.

Fire Chief Gary Retterath says the event will be held Saturday, April 30th in Valley City.

Retterath says your safety is greatly enhanced once smoke detectors are installed in every level of your home.
