N.D. (NewsDakota.com)  Freshmen Trey Rosenau had two hits and two RBI as the Cardinals win their first game of the 2016 season 5-4 over the Pirates of Kidder County.

Sophomore Jayden Shipman was the winning pitcher, working in relief of Braxton Hewitt, Kyle Leapaldt picked up his first save of the year in as many chances.  Hewitt was 2-for-4 at the plate with a run scored.  

Next up for Carrington will be Friday, April 8th at Dwyer Field at Bismarck Shiloh School for two games.  The first one will be at 3:00pm against Harvey/Wells County and the second game will be at 8:00pm against Bismarck Shiloh.  AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com will cover both games starting about 15 minutes before the scheduled start time with pregame coverage.
