N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report from the dates between March 11th through March 31st.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, the Fire Department has responded to a total of 13 calls between that time. The report includes grass fires, the Econo Lodge fire, and a kitchen fire. The department has responded to a total of 60 calls in 2016.

March 11th, 10:49AM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Time out 20 minutes.
March 11th, 7:20PM, ready squad responded to 800 12th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 40 minutes.
March 13th, 11:32AM, fire department responded to 222 1st Ave S #203, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units. Firefighters exhausted smoke from the apartment and investigated. Cause-electrical appliance. No injuries were reported. Time out 35 minutes.
March 14th, 12:05PM, fire department was dispatched to the area of I-94 mile marker 244 to a report of a grass fire. Fire units were cancelled enroute, due to the fact it was out of our jurisdiction. Time out 10 minutes.
March 14th, 10:38PM, ready squad responded to 215 4th Ave SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 35 minutes.
March 18th, 6:08PM, fire department responded to a 811 20th St SW, Parking Lot, to a report of a vehicle on fire. On arrival of fie units there was no fire. Cause-steam form exhaust vent. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.
March 22nd, 6:51PM, ready squad responded to 2501 Circle Drive, NDSH-New Horizons Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
March 22nd, 7:22PM, fire department responded to 216 7th St SW #5, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire in a kitchen. Fire was out on arrival of fire units. Firefighters exhausted smoke and investigated. Cause-unattended cooking. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.
March 28th, 10:33AM, fire department responded to 1300 2nd Place NE, Eventide, to a report of a fire in the basement. Firefighters checked for fire/smoke none was detected. Cause-unknown. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 35 minutes.
March 28th, 7:53PM, fire department responded to 2627 Hwy 281 South, Econo Lodge, to a report of a fire on the deck. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units, occupant used a fire extinguisher. Firefighters checked the area and investigated. Cause-smoking materials. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.
March 30th, 4:58AM, fire department responded to the area of 320 2nd Ave SW, to a report of a power line pole on fire. Firefighters stood by until power company arrived on scene. Cause-unknown. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.
March 31st, 12:19AM, ready squad responded to 517 2nd Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 25 minutes.
