MN – (NewsDakota.com) After months of speculation on the future of the Buffalo River Race Park, the future is now secure and racing will continue this spring as normal.

Kevin Nathe, longtime owner of the track sold the business to local Fargo businessmen Mike Larson and Jim Glenn (also owners of Outlet Recreation.com with store in West Fargo, Detroit Lakes and Clearwater).  Kevin will stay on and manage the facility.  Larson stated, “We have always had a great sponsor and friend relationship with Kevin and believe he has done an excellent job at the track.  We are very supportive of racing in the region and hope to provide additional opportunities for fans and competitors.

This facility is extremely unique with its climate controlled inside viewing space and bar/restaurant.  We plan to expand on that by providing an even better fan experience. “   Larson said that there are many ideas on how to further use this facility on dates other than just Sunday and those plans will be announced as they are tested and implemented, but they are booking private parties for this summer now.

One immediate change will be bringing in a themed bar/restaurant with more options for patrons.  Detroit Rock City, or Drock, which started in Detroit Lakes MN last summer will be moving to BRRP.  The Detroit Lakes location will not reopen but many of the things that made that facility great will now be available at the Buffalo River Race Park.

More food options, more drinks options, music and much more—Larson said, “BRRP is licensed as an event facility and as such, there are many options available to us including live music”.   We are excited about the directions this could go but we will walk before we run with no major 2016 changes scheduled.

At the Detroit Lakes property where Drock had been located, Larson and Glenn are opening a wholesale dealership site call CrazyLot.com.  The product at this location will be sold on a wholesale basis with the ability to bid online or buy onsite at the “buy it now” price.  Units open for bidding will be posted each Friday with the auction for these units closing the following Thursday.  Larson says there will be a host of products offered at wholesale!  Many of the units there will be great, non-damaged pieces that for whatever reason, just haven’t sold fast enough.  This will be similar to a dealer auction for cars but will be open to the public.  Every unit will be posted online with a “buy it now” price or customers may bid what they wish to pay.

The business will open April 18th with the first auction closing April 28th. Buyers are encourage to register now at Crazylot.com and they’ll send out a free t-shirt to the first 500 registrants!
