Schelert, 86, Jamestown, ND died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at her home in Jamestown.

Lorraine Schlenker was born December 29, 1929 at Jud, ND, the daughter of Henry, Jr. and Merle (Carlson) Schlenker. She attended the local school where she received her elementary education and grew to womanhood in the area.

She and Norman Mundt were married November 27, 1949 at Alfred, ND. They made their home northeast of Lehr where they farmed until 1992. Norman passed away January 19, 1992. She and Rudy Schelert were married in Missouri; they made their home at St. Joe, Missouri where they resided. Following the death of Rudy she returned to Jamestown where she has continued to reside.

She was a member of the Church of God 7th Day in Alfred.

She is survived by her children Randy (Cecelia) Mundt, Buffalo, ND, Loren Mundt, Appleton, WI, and Lynnette (Blake) Hamar, Casper, WY; her step children, Keith, Kenneth, Steve, Brenda, Twila and Cynthia Schelert; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Don Schlenker, Toppenish, WA; and 1 sister, Della Meyer, Bemidji, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, daughter-in-law Rita, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral Service – 10:00 AM Monday, April 4, 2016, in the Church of God 7th Day in Alfred, ND, with Pastor Stephen Kyner, officiating

Burial – Church of God 7th Day Cemetery, NW of Jud, ND
