CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Rafael Cruz the father of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz talked about the importance of electing a candidate who will bring us back to our conservative roots as Ronald Reagan did back in the early 1980’s.
Cruz told the crowd his son is well read on the constitution compared to the current president or the GOP front runner referring to Donald Trump.
Cruz urged North Dakota party leaders to make a difference and support is son Ted Cruz as Republican delegates meet this coming weekend to select their candidates.
Steve Urness interviewed Cruz before he spoke to the crowd in Valley City.

Rafael Cruz was born in Cuba and as a teenager in the 1950’s, he supported the overthrow of the Batista regime which landed him in prison, where he was tortured.
In 1957 he immigrated to the United States with little more than $100 to his name and barely able to speak English, he eventually earned a degree from the University of Texas and worked in the energy industry before becoming a pastor.
Cruz talked about his faith and his life’s journey at Sabirs on Tuesday, March 29th before a good crowd in Valley City.
