N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A lengthy standoff at a North Fargo hotel has ended peacefully.

Police were called to Candlewood Suites off 19th Ave. around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a man with a gun. After lengthy negotiations, Fargo Police took a man into custody just after 5 a.m.

During the standoff, police learned the man may have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and may have been hallucinating. He was taken to a hospital for the mental health evaluation.

Police say the man did not have a gun.
