(Willie) Charles Wilbur, 61, Jamestown, ND died March 27, 2016 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, ND.

Willie was born November 13, 1954 at Fargo, ND, the son of Charles and Cora Wilbur. Willie moved to Grafton on February 16, 1956 and later to San Haven on November 10, 1981. It was at San Haven where he met his good friend Laurie Lafromboise, who looked out for him until his death. On December 21, 1987 he moved to Alpha Opportunities Inc. in Jamestown where he resided and worked. Willie was a long time member of the Alpha family and touched the lives of everyone he met; it was a sad day for all when he moved to Ave Maria Village on February 25, 2016 after an extensive illness.

Willie was an active member of the Alpha Opportunities. He retired several years ago, but continued to visit all of his old peers either at work or by getting together for lunch. Willie enjoyed fishing, movies, playing keyboard and long walks during nice weather. He loved old TV shows, cars, and Elvis. His favorite song was “You Are My Sunshine” and he loved singing it and hearing it be sung to him on his keyboard. Willie loved food and some of his favorites were pizza, Coke, mashed potatoes and gravy, peanut butter cups and Nutter Butter peanut butter cookies.

Willie had a great personality and stole the hearts of everyone he met. He had big blue eyes and a huge smile that could light up a room. Willie will be greatly missed by his Alpha family.

He is survived by 3 sisters, Karen Masters, Gloria Treadway and Mary Holznagel; 1 brother, Curtis Wilbur; and his step mother, Betty Wilbur. He reconnected with his family several years ago and though he didn’t get to see them often, he enjoyed receiving letters from them and he also sent them letters.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
