CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Several local entities in Barnes County and Valley City will be offering incident command training in Valley City in late April.

Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson says the local Emergency Planning Committee, the city of Valley City and the Barnes County Office of Emergency Management are joining together to offer the training.

Thompson says students will learn how to use the Incident Command System in the response to any type of hazard or incident, man made or natural. He says it’s important to complete the prerequisite training needed to understand the new material.

Incident Command Training

Intermediate ICS for expanding incidents will be conducted April 25-27 from 8am to 5pm in Valley City.

Complex incidents will be conducted April 28-29 from 8am to 5pm in Valley City.

All training will be conducted and completed at the Valley City Fire Department Station House located at 241 3rd Avenue NE in Valley City.
