N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinals have been making an impression in Class B High School Baseball as of late, making it to the State Class B High School Baseball Tourney three out of the last four years, their total number of trips since the program started in 2004.  The Cards beat Lewis & Clark/Parshall in the quarters last year held in Mandan, went on to the semi’s and beat then number one Grafton and eventually lost to May-Port-CG in the State Championship 4-1, finishing 19-7-1 overall.  

Wayne Shipman will return for his 13th year as Head Coach, here’s coach Shipman’s thoughts about practice so far this year compared to years past.

The Cardinals compete in Region 3 with a total of five teams this year including;  Lakota/Edmore, Sheyenne/New Rockford, Medina/Pingree/Buchanan, Midkota/Dakota Prairie and Carrington.  Carrington will start their regular season on the road in Steele against Kidder County on Monday, April 4th.  Pregame will start about 3:45pm on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com, first pitch at 4pm.

The Region III Tourney will held in Tolna on May 23th-25th, while the State Class B Baseball Tourney will be held in Fargo at Newman Outdoor Field, home of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, May 26th-28th.
