N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Charges have been filed against a man who fired several shots at West Fargo police Friday and was involved in a 5 1/2 hour standoff.

37-year old Jan Wangstad is charged with attempted murder, felony terrorizing, meth possession, and felon in possession of a firearm. Court records show Wangstad told police he had more guns and a grenade and would take out anyone who came in.

Wangstad is a convicted sex offender and bank robber.
