N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Bismarck National Weather Service and the Foster County Emergency Manager will be teaching the public about severe weather in the area.
North Dakota is susceptible to numerous types of severe weather including flash floods, tornadoes, lightning, wind and hail. The free seminar will talk about storm strength and how to identify storm structure. The Skywarn training will allow individuals to become weather spotters for the National Weather Service.
The event is free and will be held on Thursday, May 5th at Carrington Fire Hall starting at 7:00 PM. For more information, visit weather.gov/bis/skytrain.
