N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Nobody was injured after a semi traveling eastbound on I-94 near Jamestown jack-knifed due to slippery conditions.

Sgt. Tom Herzig with the NDHP reports that temperatures near freezing and light snowfall melted on the roadway, causing ice to develop on the overpass at mile marker 260.  The semi slid into the median where it was stopped by a cable guardrail. The semi jack-knifed and came to rest across both eastbound lanes.

The entire eastbound lane was closed and one westbound lane closed for nearly an hour before crews could clear up the scene. 36 year-old Bare Rukow of Columbus, Ohio was not injured in the accident. The truck, trailer, and guardrail sustained around $70,000 in damages.
