GasBuddy.com reports that the average retail price of a gallon of fuel rose about 11 cents in the last week, just after it rose 11 cents in the week before that. The trend began three weeks ago, when fuel first shot up 12 cents. The current average fuel price in the state of North Dakota is $1.96 a gallon.
The states average is among some of the higher prices. The highest average is $2.61 for a gallon of gas in California. The lowest is $1.70 in South Carolina. The average gas price in Jamestown is $1.89, roughly 7 cents lower than the states average.
