CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) A North Dakota Winter Show volunteer was injured during the PRCA Rodeo event Friday night in Valley City.

North Dakota Winter Show manager Dawn Riley says the man was pulling a shoot gate during the saddle bronco riding event when the horse shot out of the gate quickly injuring the man. She says he suffered a cut to his hand, a strained knee and bruises. The man was taken to a Valley City hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

In other news Riley says a North Dakota Winter Show building was damaged after a vehicle struck a parked truck, the impact partially pushed the truck into the North Dakota Winter Show south exhibit building.  No damage estimate was available.
