CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Jerry Effertz and Ambrose Hoff were inducted into the North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame during the 79th annual North Dakota Winter Show on March 12th in Valley City.
Effertz is a cattle producer near Minot. He runs Black Butte Acres and Adventures, an agriculture and nature tourism destination.
Hoff of Richardton, ND was honored to be inducted into the Agriculture Hall of Fame. He says he owes a lot to his wife Charlotte and his family. Hoff was instrumental in the building of Red Trail Energy Ethanol Plant in Richardton which also produces distiller grain for cattle.
North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple says Effertz and Hoff have done a lot to promote agriculture in the state.
North Dakota Senator Heidi Heitkamp applauded the work of Hoff and Effertz and emphasized the important roll agriculture continues to play on the economy of North Dakota.
Valley City Mayor Bob Werkhoven and North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem, the Republican Gubernatorial candidate were all on hand to congratulate Hoff and Effertz during the Agriculture Hall of Fame ceremony.
The home of the North Dakota Agriculture Hall of Fame is in Valley City located at the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center and also on display at the Rosebud Visitor’s Center.
