N.D. (AP) – Warmer weather has arrived in North Dakota and that means load restrictions on roads.

The state Transportation Department says load limits will be in effect beginning Wednesday on all state and federal highways in North Dakota.

The weight restrictions guard against damage to roads made susceptible by the spring thaw. They are lifted when roadbeds have stabilized enough to handle normal traffic.
