N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Carrington’s Supervalu Foods, a family-owned business for the past 70 years, has reportedly been sold to Leevers Foods, Inc.

The transaction will go into effect beginning April 3rd. Owners Ron and Bonnie Wenaas have sold the business after their children expressed little to no interest in continuing the ownership.

“My children had no interest in continuing the business. Some of them came back and tried. They decided it wasn’t what they’d like to do.” Ron Wenaas stated.

Not many changes are expected to come to the store other than the addition of the “Our Family” product line. Leevers Foods, Inc. are owned by Robert, James and Beth Leevers. They also operate stores in Devils Lake, Rolla, Rugby, Langdon, Cavalier, and Valley City.
