(NewsDakota.com) – The No. 9 Jimmies faced some late adversity in the NSAA championship game against Dickinson St. With under a minute to go, Jamestown trailed 63-59. They would score the final six points of the game to claim their second consecutive title, 65-63.

Bryn Woodside drove into an open lane to pull the Jimmies within two and then Jessica Buck got an isolation to tie the game with 33 seconds left.

Dickinson St. couldn’t take the lead with two shots on the ensuing possession. Kyra Dewald called a timeout with 1.4 left and the new rules allowed the Jimmies to advance it into front court.

Dewald lobbed up a pass toward the rim that Buck caught and laid in at the buzzer to win the game. It was two of her 13 points and sent the Civic Center into a frenzy.

Dewald lead the Jimmies with 21. The national tournament brackets come out at 5pm on Wednesday.
