CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown jumped out to a 48-29 lead at the half over Valley City State University on Saturday afternoon.
The Jimmie men made 8-15 from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes and finished 11-22 in the game from the three-point line.
Jamestown would go on to win 94-75 over VCSU in the North Star semifinal round.
Brequan Tucker scored a game-high 29 points for the Jimmies (17-11 overall), while Jayden Ferguson paced VCSU (21-10 overall) with 25 points.
With the win, the Jimmies advance to the conference championship against Dakota State Univeristy on Monday in Madison, South Dakota.
