N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two women have been charged with theft of property in connection with missing firearms from a Northwest Jamestown apartment.

25 year old Julia Grajeda and 31 year old Esther Cruz were each charged with theft of property in Southeast District Court in Jamestown. In January, a rural Stutsman County resident arrived home to find two individuals sleeping on his couch. The man searched his home and allegedly found six firearms missing that had been taken from a gun cabinet.

An investigation determined that the both Grajeda and Cruz were in the man’s home the day before and court documents show that both traded some of the firearms to a drug dealer for methamphetamine and heroin.
