CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liners gave the third-ranked West Fargo Packers all they could handle in Eastern Dakota Conference boys basketball on Tuesday night.
The Hi-Liners led at the half 45-40, but it wouldn’t be enough as the Packers came back to win 80-74.
West Fargo (19-2 overall, 19-1 EDC) was paced by Joe Pistorius with 20 points, while Ahmed Aden chipped in another 17 points for the Packers.
Hunter Burchill led the way for the Hi-Liners (9-11 overall, 8-12 EDC) with a game-high 21 points on the night.
The Hi-Liners are back on the court on Saturday at 7 p.m. in an EDC play in game. Valley City will host either Fargo South or West Fargo Sheyenne, depending on the outcome of the Sheyenne/Wahpeton game on Thursday.

Girls Game – West Fargo 87 Valley City 52
WEST FARGO, N.D. – The West Fargo Packers defeated the Valley City Hi-Liners 87-52 in EDC girls basketball on Tuesday night.
The Packers improve to 13-7 overall and 12-7 in the EDC, while Valley City drops to 0-21 overall and 0-20 in the EDC.
Valley City hits the road on Saturday in an EDC play in game at Fargo South. Game time has yet to be determined.
