(NewsDakota.com) An Oakes man’s preliminary hearing to face charges from an alleged rape has been delayed for a second time.

Court records indicate the preliminary hearing for 22 year old Allec Anderson on February 16 was cancelled, and has now been rescheduled to April 19 after the defense asked for and received more time to collect evidence supporting their case. The original preliminary hearing date was January 19.

Anderson faces a Class AA Felony charge of Gross Sexual Imposition in addition to a Class C Felony charge of Terrorizing and a Class B Felony charge of Aggravated Assault related to an alleged rape of a 37 year old woman in December.

Anderson remains in the Stutsman County Jail in Jamestown on $5,000 bond for violating his probation in late January after being arrested for marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia. A disposition conference on those charges is set for March 8.
