N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liner wrestling team added on to their historic season at the Fargodome this weekend, as seven Hi-Liners would go on to place at the state tournament.
Jordan Magnuson capped off his high school career with a 3-0 decision over Tristian Hall of Bismarck in the 220 pound Class A championship match. Magnuson finished the season with a 50-1 record, which is a new school record for wins in a season. Jordan also set the school record for wins in a career with 173 career wins. Jordan ended his prep career as a two time finalist and a four time state place winner for the “Hi-Liners.”
Mason Schulz of Bismarck Century topped Valley City’s Jakob Ashline in a 12-4 decision, in the 132 pound Class A championship match. Ashline finishes as the second best wrestler in Class A at 132 pounds.

Magnuson placed 1st at 220lbs.
Ashline placed 2nd at 132lbs.
Logan Erlandson placed 5th at 145lbs.
Parker Larson placed 6th at 113lbs.
Jaden Oestern placed 7th at 195lbs.
Rylee Bjork placed 8th at 126lbs.
Jared Undem placed 8th at 120lbs.
