CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City State University outscored Presentation College 23-6 in the second quarter in the North Star women’s basketball on Saturday.
The Vikings would go on to win 70-43 over the Saints to finish out the regular season.
Lexi Lennon scored a game-high 17 points for the Vikings (17-9 overall, 10-3 NSAA), while Sydney Larson tallied 16 points for the Saints (6-19 overall, 3-10 NSAA).
VCSU returns to the court on Wednesday for the quarterfinal round of the North Star Tournament. The bracket and game times will be announced tomorrow.

Men’s Game – Presentation College 84 VCSU 82
Nygel Drury forced overtime with a game-tying three at the end of regulation for VCSU, however Presentation College would outscore the Vikings 5-3 in overtime and would go on to win 84-82.
Calvin Carr finished with 28 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists for the Saints (12-15 overall, 4-11 NSAA), while Jayden Ferguson paced the Vikings (20-9 overall, 8-5 NSAA) with 21 points.
With the loss, VCSU will share the regular season conference title with Dakota State University and Bellevue University.
