N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for February 12th through the 18th.

Fire Chief Jim Reuther reports that there were 7 calls to service in Jamestown in the past week. Several calls involved carbon monoxide reports due to a faulty furnace to a missing person search on Strawberry Lake in McLean County.

The report also includes the recent fire at Hong Kong Buffet, which was due to items being left on the stove. Below is a full list of times, dates and descriptions of each call.

February 13th, 4:05PM, ready squad responded to 222 1st Ave South, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 15 minutes.

February 14th, 12:27PM, ready squad responded to 708 3rd Ave NE, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and up to 25ppm were detected. Cause-faulty furnace. Occupant was advised to have the furnace checked by a qualified firm or individual. Time out 40 minutes.

February 14th, 3:00PM, ready squad responded to 1106 Western Park Village, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 40 minutes.

February 15th, 5:30AM, Stutsman County Remote Operated Vehicle Team was requested to assist other agencies in the search for a missing person. Search was conducted on Strawberry Lake in McLean County. Time out 15 hours.

February 16th, 11:05PM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.

February 17th, 9:38AM, fire department responded to 605 25th St SW, Hong Kong Buffet, to a report of smoke showing from the roof. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-Items left on stove top. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour 20 minutes.

February 17th, 11:46AM, fire department responded to 1511 Gardenette Drive, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a stove fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-burnt food. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.
