N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Stutsman County Communications has announced a county-wide test that will be conducted for the CodeRED mass notification system.

According to Emergency Manager Jerry Bergquist, the test will occur between 11:00 AM and noon. Bergquist points out the CodeRed system alerts residents of emergency events and notifications of immediate concern to the public. The system will either call land-line phones or send those alerts via cellphone, email, or text message.

Residents will not need to respond to the message. The system is free of charge to residents and businesses. You can sign up for the alerts by clicking here. For any questions, contact Stutsman County Emergency Management at 701-252-9093.
