N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Over 1,000 Carrington residents made their way to the polls to vote on a new Elementary School bond.

According to the Carrington School District, 1,441 individuals voted on the project. 732 yes votes were received and 707 no votes were cast. 60% was needed in order to pass the measure.

Reports say to put the vote into perspective, Carrington’s school board elections only received around 120 votes, showing the polarity of the school vote. The Carrington School Board will now look at other ways to improve the quality of the school, which is reportedly deteriorating.
