N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Representative Jessica Haak has made the announcement that she intends to seek another term in the North Dakota House of Representatives.

On Monday, Representative Haak stated she would be seeking the endorsement of the District 12 Dem-NPL party this weekend during the district convention in Jamestown. Haak stated that it is an honor to serve the citizens of District 12 and she plans to continue that if re-elected to another term.

During the 63rd and 64th legislative session, Haak served on the Finance and Tax committee and the Agriculture committee. Haak was recently appointed to serve on the North Dakota Human Trafficking Commission and continues to work on passing legislative bills for adoptive parents work leave rights.

Other issues Haak stated she will continue working included childcare and protecting victims of stalking and domestic violence. Haak pointed out that in the next session, the group would be looking at the recently announced budget cuts.
