CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Your Farmers Union Insurance of Valley City is junior Cole McGough. 

McGough wrestles at 152lbs for the Hi-Liners. Cole, battling a shoulder injury
for most of the season, had a great performance against Fargo Davies on Thursday, February 4th. Cole took the mat against the #2 ranked 152lbs in the state in Fargo Davies Bryce Burnside with the Eastern Dakota Conference dual title on the line. 

Cole dislocated his shoulder thirty seconds into the match with Burnside and with the help of Dr. Mitzel, Cole was able to “pop” his shoulder back into place and continue the match. 

Cole ended up losing the match by major decision and saved the Hi-liners two team points. Cole’s performance was very inspirational  to his team and helped propel the Hi-liners to a 36-29 victory over Fargo Davies and the School’s first ever Eastern Dakota Conference Dual title.

The Hi-liners finished a perfect 9-0 in the EDC. Cole is a two year team captain for the wrestling team,an academic all-state wrestler, and a member of the Valley City High School honor roll. Cole also plays football and baseball for the Hi-liners.
