N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A small community in Ransom County was shocked when a man was killed in a drive-by shooting on Sunday, February 7th at around 2:25 AM.
Officers received the call immediately and upon arriving on the scene, pronounced the male victim dead. Officers were told by a caller that the shooter had left the scene in a Ford F-150 crew cab. Witnesses informed reporters that the man killed was 28 year-old Billy Holladay. Community member Cyndee Chelsey stated that the events have left the community in shock.
In the evening hours of February 7th, the Ransom County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Red River Dispatch informing them that an individual wanted to turn himself in, connecting himself to the earlier shooting.
28 year-old Paul Allen Miller of rural Enderlin was arrested for murder and is being held at the Cass County Correctional Facility.
Sheriff Darren Benneweis reports that the suspect vehicle and a weapon were recovered at a rural Barnes County Resience with assistance from the Barns County Sheriff’s Office and NDBCI.
The department is continuing the investigation.
