N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City State University gutted out a win on the men’s side, while the women came up just short against Dickinson State University in North Star basketball on Saturday evening.
Women’s Game – #19 DSU 63 VCSU 55
VCSU started the fourth quarter on a 6-0 run and trimmed the lead to three, however DSU would respond and hang on to win down the stretch.
Megan Klein scored a game-high 19 points and grabbed 20 rebounds for DSU. The Blue Hawks improved to 17-5 overall and 5-1 in the NSAA.
VCSU (12-8 overall, 5-2 NSAA) was led by Georgia Williams with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

Men’s Game – #21 VCSU 75 DSU 74
The Vikings escaped Dickinson with the win after Curtis Reed missed a top of the key three as time expired for DSU.
Justyn Galloway paced the Vikings (18-6 overall, 6-2 NSAA) with a double-double, scoring 10 points while grabbing 12 rebounds.
VCSU had all ten players score in the game with at least 3 points or more in the win.
DSU (11-11 overall, 4-3 NSAA) was led by Reggie Fields Jr. with 18 points and 5 rebounds.
