N.D. (NewsDaktoa.com) – The North Dakota Game & Fish Department has announced the spring turkey season for state residents.

The department is offering 5,815 wild turkey licenses, which is the same amount that was offered last year. Five of the 22 hunting units have slightly more licenses. Hettinger and Adams counties are closed once again this year due to a lack of turkeys.

Spring turkey applicants can apply online or by calling the Game and Fish Department. Licenses are available only to North Dakota residents. The season begins April 9th and continues through May 15.
