(NewsDakota.com) After picking up their third loss of the season on Tuesday, the LaMoure-Litchville/Marion girls basketball team took their frustrations out on Oakes Thursday night, rolling to a 63-30 victory in both teams’ District 5 regular season finale.

The #6 ranked Loboes (13-3, 4-2 Class B District 5) had quite the wild first eight minutes, with eight team fouls, but converting on five three pointers to take a 19-7 lead. LLM did not commit a foul in the second quarter, pulled ahead by 20 at the break, and never looked back. Anna Holen lead the way for the victors with 15 points

The Tornadoes (4-11, 0-6) did not score a field goal until more than midway through the opening quarter, and have now been outscored in their last two District 5 games by a combined total of 63 points.  Bella Hansen lead Oakes in scoring with 12 points, including three three-pointers.

Oakes is scheduled to head to Medina/Pingree-Buchanon on Saturday, while LLM heads to Forman on Monday to take on Sargent Central.
