N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A local group of individuals are looking to raise ,000 in order to purchase a service dog for a North Dakota Veteran.

“Junkin’ for GI’s” is an event created by the group in order to raise the funds to purchase a service dog from Service Dogs for America out of Jud, North Dakota. Katie Ryan-Anderson is part of the group. She stated that the group does fundraisers like this to help different causes in the area.

The event will feature local work from Tessa Klein at Wildflowers Inc, which specializes in up-cycled junk. Shelley Nannenga with Service Dogs for America says that causes like this make it possible for the organization to do what they do.
