E. Ratts, 71, of Jamestown, ND, passed away on Sunday morning, January 24, 2016 in Jamestown.
James E. Ratts was born August 20, 1944. He lived in Fargo until June 1946 when he went to Nortonville to make his home with Virgil and Violet Colberg. When Mr. Colberg passed away in January 1987, James moved to Jamestown where he began work at Alpha Opportunities, Inc. where he did custodial work at J.C. Penney’s, Jamestown Airport, the gymnastics club, Knights of Columbus, Jamestown Irrigation, and Stock Yard Café. He liked gardening and bowling. James won many gold medals in the Special Olympics State Bowling Tournaments in Bismarck and Fargo, a number of bronze medals in district tournaments, and many ribbons in Special Olympics tournaments.
James is survived by cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m., to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the funeral home.
Interment: Nortonville Cemetery, Nortonville, ND.
