Heinze, age 91, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Valley City, ND, died Tuesday, January 19th at Manor Care, Fargo, ND.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, January 25th at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Lerud Schuldt Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church on Monday morning.  A prayer service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery near Dazey, ND in the spring.

Arnold George Heinze, the son of Joseph and Annie (Kunze) Heinze, was born October 31, 1924 on the family farm in Sibley Trail Township near Dazey, ND.  Arnold grew up and attended rural school in Sibley Trail Township and began farming with his father at a young age.  On October 25, 1969 he married Verlee Skoglund at St. Mary’s Catholic Church near Dazey.  The couple lived and farmed together until Arnold’s retirement in 1986 when they moved to Valley City, ND.  In July, 2013 they moved to Fargo, ND.  Arnold enjoyed collecting toy tractors and cars and never liked to miss a good auction sale.

Arnold is survived by his wife Verlee, Fargo, ND; two children, Robert Heinze, DeBerry, TX and Christine Heinze, Fargo, ND; and six grandchildren, Angela Heinze, Shelby Heinze, A.J. Heinze, Nicholas Heinze, Connor Richard and Kiara Richard.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, one son, John, two brothers and one sister.
