N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—–The Carrington Cardinal girl’s basketball team jumped out to a 17-2 lead in the first quarter and were never threatened by the visiting Squirrel’s from Central Cass winning 59-24.
Carrington had 3 player’s reach double figures in scoring led by senior Kauri Hochhalter’s 13, while Haley Hewitt and Maara Nelson added 10. Emerson Hoornaert 7, Ann Endres and Abigail Jarrett 6, and Jill Endres added 5 points in the victory. Central Cass was paced by Madison Sweep’s 11 points. Carrington improved to 8-4 on the year and the Squirrel’s dropped to 3-9 with the loss. The Cardinals next action will be Thursday January 21st at home against the Oakes Tornadoes.
