N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Fargo Shanley Deacons continued their winning ways in girls and boys basketball on Tuesday night in the Eastern Dakota Conference.
Fargo Shanley (6-0 overall, 5-0 EDC) defeated Valley City (0-5 overall, 0-4 EDC) 83-33 in the girls game an extended their winning streak to 49 straight games.
Sarah Jacobson had a game high 24 points and went 3-4 from the free throw line for the Deacons, while Reagan Ingstad paced the Hi-Liners with 7 points.
In the boys game, Fargo Shanley jumped out to a 49-23 halftime lead and never looked back in their 80-51 win over Valley City.
The Deacons (5-1 overall, 4-1 EDC) had nine players score in the game and were led by Shayne Dauenhauer with 14 points.
Lane Kvien scored a season high 16 points for Valley City (2-3 overall, 1-2 EDC).
The Hi-Liners host the Wahpeton Huskies on Tuesday, January 5th at 7:30 p.m. for their next game in boys basketball.
