Ziemba, age 67, of Valley City, ND, died Thursday, December 24th at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.  A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, December 30th at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and one hour before the service on Wednesday afternoon.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the church.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City in the spring.

James Richard Ziemba, the son of Jacob and Adyline (Triebold) Ziemba, was born September 15, 1948 in Valley City, ND.  James grew up and attended school in Tower City, ND and graduated from Tower City High School.  James attended Dakota Business School and also Valley City State University.  On May 6, 1968 he enlisted with the US Army and served his country during Viet Nam.  James was Honorably Discharged on April 7, 1970.  On January 18, 1975 he married Lenora Boen in Kathryn, ND.  James worked for a time at the Tower City Truck Stop and later moved to Valley City.  While in Valley City, he worked at Geisler Implement, Beyer Cement, and Perkins for many years until his retirement in 2013.  James was recently working for the Window Man in Valley City.

James is survived by his wife Lenora, Valley City, ND; two sons, John Ziemba, Valley City, ND and Timothy (Alicia) Ziemba, Fargo, ND; his Grandson and Best Buddy, Kayson; one brother, Richard (Judy) Ziemba, Apache Junction, AZ; three sisters, Jaci Hostetler, Missoula, MT, Shirley Ziemba, Valley City, ND and Bonnie Sorenson, Omak, WA.

James was preceded in death by his parents, one son Eric and one sister Kathleen.
