BEND, N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) A fire destroyed a house in Richland County last night. The fire at 102 main street in Great Bend broke out just after six. A mother and daughter escaped unharmed. It’s believed an unattended candle started the fire.
Firefighters from Great Bend, Mooreton, Dwight, Fairmount, and Hankinson responded. Thick smoke was billowing out of the structure when fire crews arrived. Firefighters battled the blaze in sub-zero temperatures.
