N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department has reported an increase in shoplifting in the Jamestown Area.
Police officers are walking through stores to help contain the rise of shoplifting that has taken place at several stores in the community. Major John Johnson reports that officers are taking steps to prevent shoplifting.
The prices of the items being taken range anywhere between a few dollars to hundreds of dollars.
Major Johnson also pointed out that in most cases, the individual is caught in the store and the police are contacted afterwards. None of the suspects have been charged yet.
