N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was like a scene out of the old west early this morning in downtown Fargo.

Sgt. Ryan Nielsen with the Fargo Police Department has more.

Sgt. Ryan Nielsen says they found a man matching the description, walking near The Empire Tavern, just west of the train station. He was questioned and officers found he was carrying a pistol. The man, who was drunk, denied he was responsible. He was arrested and taken to jail.

Shell casings were recovered at the scene but Nielsen say it does not appear the shots were fired at anyone.

21-year old Cody Haugen of Fargo, is facing charges of discharge of a firearm within city limits, reckless endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon, and carrying a weapon into a bar.
