CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Several proposals to curb binge and underage drinking were discussed during a December 4th Alcohol Grant Advisory meeting in Valley City.

City County Health Director Theresa Will made a few suggestions to North Dakota Winter Show board members on how to curb alcohol abuse during the annual concert held in March.

NDWS Manager Dawn Riley doesn’t know why Theresa Will is targeting the Winter Show concert when binge drinking is a statewide issue. Riley said the Winter Show plans to enhance security during the upcoming March concert.

Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin said officers do a good job enforcing alcohol violations but cannot catch everyone during the annual concert.
