CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) -A Jamestown man was seriously injured after he lost control of his SUV driving in the westbound lane of Interstate 94 yesterday afternoon in Valley City.
Highway Patrol Sgt. Tom Herzig said the driver 31 year-old Jusufu Hargrave hit his brakes to avoid a semi, hit an icy patch on a bridge deck causing the vehicle to go into the median then across the eastbound lane into ditch over a fence and city street before coming to rest on its top in a vacant lot in Valley City.
Fire & Rescue crews had to extricate the man from his vehicle. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and then to a Fargo Hospital. Hargrave suffered serious injuries and remains in a Fargo Hospital.
