N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Unison Bank has announced a special gift donated to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center on December 2nd.

Unison bank has announced gifts totaling $35,000 to be used in several areas at the hospital.

• $2,500 for iPads in anesthesia and surgery center
• $7,500 for a special position “scoliosis” x-ray chair for radiology
• $25,000 for cancer care

iPads will be used in anesthesia and the surgery center to reduce anxiety for children. Studies have shown the use of an iPad prior to anesthesia and reduce the need for additional sedatives.

The other funds assisting with cancer care will help with the JRMC’s Journey to Oncology Phase 1. Their funding goal of $350,000 will include retrofitting space with numerous items to support better care in Oncology.

“In sharing these projects with the Board of Directors of Unison Bank, there was a great deal of excitement. Everyone understands these are crucial projects that will benefit thousands in the community. At the same time it gives us an opportunity to help out two great organizations being Jamestown Regional Medical Center and the Anne Carlsen Center. We work hard to make our community a better place to live and work and we’re pleased to present these gifts” said Kelly Rachel, Unison Bank President and CEO.
