N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for the week of December 4th through the 10th.
According to Fire Chief Jim Reuther, the department has been extremely busy with calls as well as reminding residents to ensure their homes are safe during the holiday’s. So far, there have been a total of 280 calls for the department, which is up from 268 total calls in 2014. Below is a full list of dates, times and descriptions of each run that the department responded to.
December 4th, 4:25PM, ready squad responded to 904 5th Ave NE, Sanford Clinic, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.
December 6th, 8:02PM, ready squad responded to 800 12th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate odor smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 1 hour.
December 8th, 11:00AM, ready squad responded to 909 8th Ave SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-shorted out outlet receptacle. Time out 25 minutes.
December 9th, 12:00PM, fire department heavy rescue squad responded to the intersection of 2nd Ave and 5th St SE, to report of a person/s needing extricated from vehicle. Firefighters extricated one person from vehicle and assisted EMS. Cause-two motor vehicle accident. No firefighter injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.
December 10th, 3:56AM, fire department responded to the area of 8th Ave and 3rd St NE, to a report of a power pole on fire. Firefighters stood by until Otter Tail Power Company arrived on scene. Cause-unknown. No injuries reported. Time out 40 minutes.
December 10th, 1:55PM, ready squad responded to 523 4th Ave SE, Trinity Lutheran Church, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.
