CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City State University held off a feisty Johnson and Wales Wildcats team in women’s college basketball on Saturday afternoon.

Alli Vandal sparked the Vikings with 15 points and 8 rebounds in their 93-72 win over Johnson and Wales. 

Georgia Williams scored a team high 22 points and shot 6-7 from beyond the arc for VCSU, while Kristen Ward led the Wildcats with 27 points and 6 rebounds. 

VCSU (6-5 overall, 3-0 NSAA) travels to Bismarck on Tuesday night for their next game against the University of Mary at 7 p.m.
