N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Wildlife Federation has planned an open meeting for all individuals to discuss a potential replacement gun range for the county.
United Sportsmen’s President Merele Weatherly stated that the group has contacted numerous organizations that would benefit from a new gun range and invites residents who may have ideas as to where a new gun range could be placed.
Weatherly pointed out that at this time, there are really two big issues with finding a new range.
Some locations that have been discussed in the past were the old city dump East of Jamestown or an old range near Border States west of Jamestown. Weatherly stated that the hope with this meeting would be to find a replacement location for the recently closed Pipestem Shooting Range.
The meeting is open to the public and will be held tonight at the KC Hall in Jamestown starting at 7:00 PM.
